Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
